Swisswinebeer marks the beginning of an exciting new adventure resulting from a bold collaboration with the famous La Sempione Brewery, also known as the National Brewery of Locarno, renowned for offering the best Italian craft beer since 1854. This brewery embodies history, passion and strong ties with Italy, while highlighting the best raw materials. Each of their blends reflects the tradition and know-how of the past, combined with the quality and technology of today.
La Sempione beers are carefully crafted, with flavours and aromas that highlight the search for malt, hops, wheat and yeast with excellent characteristics, coming from the areas that once supplied the breweries of Lake Maggiore. The Beretta family, founders of the company, are also known for their contribution to the production of Ichnusa beer, thanks to their recognised knowledge of the techniques of the time. In 1920 they bought an old convent in Verbania Pallanza, on the Piedmont side of Lake Maggiore, and turned it into a brewery. On 4 October 1921, the "Société Anonyme Birra Sempione" was born. Since then, Simplon has become one of the best-selling beers in Italy.
